According to WHO, Health is defined as a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.Any condition that alters any of the above affects the health of a person and ultimately affects their performance and participation in activities and affairs of the community.

At Holy Family Rehabilitation Center, we deal with the physical and mental well-being of an individual which may come as a result of Disability. The World Health Organisation(WHO) defines disability as “Any condition of the body or mind that makes it more difficult for the person with the condition to do certain activities and interact with the world around them”.Our goal is to take a hollistic approach in rehabilitating these individuals so that they can be able to participate and interact with others in the community with less effort.The center works as an organised team which is composed of special education teachers, physiotherapists,orthopedic technicians, nurses,social workers, clinical psychologists and some clergy.

Rehabilitation restores a person to his or her rightful and useful place in their community. People with Disability are often sidelined in society because of their condition(s). Disability can be caused by various factors such as Road Traffic Accidents(RTAs), congenital conditions such as Cerebral Palsy, Club foot, Spinal Bifida etc, debilitating diseases like TB Spine, opportunistic infections from HIV/AIDS. Recently,some Non Communicable Diseases have caused a lot of disabilities in the country and world at large. At Holy Family Rehab Center we aim to provide a strong support system that provides a holistic approach to the rehabilitation process thus ensuring that we individuals are independent and are able to contribute and participate in the affairs of the community they live in.
